Finally got our dining table finished - - only taken 10 and a half years to get around to it! Rose mahogany border and legs with Mackay cedar for the centre of the 'floating top'. Now for the chairs - hopefully a bit quicker on these 😉

Finished a 'Thank you' box for a family that generously let us collect the 3 species used in the box from their property a couple of years ago. The sides are in Emu apple, the trim is Prickly Pine and the lid insert is Blackdown Stringybark. Hope they will like but they'll have to wait until after the show in June to receive it - got to have something to enter in the show!

And now for the 4-legged version. Same timber and style but I'm much happier with this version because the joinery on this one is just about spot on. Will be going in this years show unless somebody makes me an offer beforehand!

Latest bit of furniture finished. Occasional table in Blackdown Stringybark. Easily my best design yet - really love the way this looks. It's only the prototype and there's a few gaps in the joinery but it's still a keeper.

Entertainment unit I recently completed for a client in Gladstone. At 2300mm long, it's the longest project I've made and I'm very happy with the way it turned out. All made from salvaged Sally wattle (Acacia salicina).

A lady from Victoria wanted Vern to make her some Spurtles for her to use for the variety of meals she cooks. The Emerald Woodworkers Club made the first two in the picture out of Sally Wattle. The other four Vern made out of White Cypress, Kauri Pine and two out of Olive. Now talking Vern into making me one for my cooking.😊

Been very busy lately working on my club challenge for the upcoming Emerald Show. In between this I have made a Mortar and Pestle out of Dead Finish with raw timber look. I will be using this to grind up some of my Lemon Myrtle. 😁

Display cabinet all glassed up and in its temporary home. My grandson is looking for a place of his own at present so the cabinet will go with him no doubt. Error on the previous post - the timber is Red Ironbark.
