Hi Everyone,

I wanted to jump on and let you all know why I haven’t been doing my popup shops at Yamanto.

So last year I developed a skin problem that is caused by my autoimmune disease. I ended up in hospital a few times because of infection and all the medical professionals I saw were just looking at me like I was a too hard puzzle. At the beginning of December I started to develop ulcers on my left leg that progressed to the point in February that they were getting extremely deep and I was getting very scared. It has taken until a week ago for me to see a Dermatologist that actually knew how to help me. At that point I was getting terrified of losing my leg. I’m now on elevated rest and I’m extremely immunocompromised with all the medication they have me on.

At this point these ulcers will take probably about six months for me to get over the worst of it. Once the weather cools down I’m going to slowly try and repot my collection and propagate. I won’t be heading back to popup shops until next year. Once I have a good variety outside for sale I will be taking appointments here at my home nursery.

Please wish me luck and cross your fingers for me that my recovery speeds up. Only 4 out of a million people develop the skin condition I have. The pain is terrible and it’s an absolutely horrible experience. Hopefully within a few months I can put up some videos and take appointments here. Im so sorry that I have been MIA. I was in hospital again last week due to complication’s with my autoimmune disease.

I won’t be able to do my popup shops at Yamanto Central until possibly April, I just need for the temperatures to drop so I can work outside more propagating. I will be opening my home nursery for appointments once these heatwaves settle down. Unfortunately due to my health this year I will be slowing down a bit and will only be doing one popup shop a month while the weather is cooler and then just taking appointments at home.

Hello Everyone,
I just want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Unfortunately I won’t be able to open the nursery over the Christmas period, I’m just not well enough to work in this heat to get it prepared. Hopefully I will be back Yamanto Central in January. I thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for supporting my passion and my therapy.

Hi Everyone,

I just thought I would jump on and give some advice on dealing with the really really hot days. When it’s super hot and humid don’t water any of your succulents wait for a better day like today. You may get some leaves that go soft and drop it’s completely normal just pick them out and throw them away. Maybe make sure on these days your succulents are only in a bit of morning sun only unless they’re doing fine where they are. If you need some specific questions answered just message me with photos if needed.
