Out with the old and in with the new! I meant to post these makeover pics before I went on a holiday to South America but time got away from me....plus a little bit of excitement! Retirement Village frontyards are pretty small spaces and when they are packed full of plants then it can become a bit cumbersome to look after. So with a bit of lateral thinking re: design and using a steel border to create a triangle raised garden bed has made this space look a whole lot bigger, cleaner and easier to maintain. The clients chose the longest pile and highest quality synthetic grass from my samples and so glad they did as it looks and feels amazing....

Now this is a frontyard makeover that has seriously added some value to this house in Torquay. No designing required here, just out with the old rocks and lawn and in with the new (plus a few new plants, mulch and sprinkler system for the lawn). Love how it looks. I even screeded the lawn base prior to installing the new turf (Sir Walter Buffalo) so that it had an MCG look about it..........and thank you to the lovely owner Anne who kept me well hydrated with coke and coffee 😋

Whilst doing a landscaping job on a house a couple of doors up from them, the owners of this house (Bob & Wendy) approached me for ideas on what I could do for them and this is what I came up with based on what they wanted re: colours to match the house, no lawn, minimal maintenance etc. As they said at the end of it all.....Brilliant! They were an absolute pleasure to work for and brilliant to me....coffees and biscuits/chocolate every day. 🥰

I finished this job for a family friend (backyard, frontyard & nature strip) a few weeks ago but forgot to post the final results until now. Overall I am super pleased with the finish as the backyard space was pretty confined once the big deck went in and the frontyard had a steep slope from front of house to council footpath, so I had to work the heights and levels in order to put in raised garden beds and expose at least 100mm of the curved corten steel. Hope you like it as much as the owners and I do! cheers 🌷🪻🌹🌞

An amazing backyard transformation for a lovely couple in Belmont.....150mm corten steel edging to create raised garden beds and instant turf to let their son and dog run on....Happy Days!

Just finished a garden makeover today in Grovedale for Don & Jan and whilst I did some other stuff outside of replacing the real grass with synthetic grass, I have only included photo's of this as I just love the transition. I was never a fan of synthetic grass as the early crap that we got sent was from China as was lucky to last 2 years, but now we have some good quality alternatives whether that be made here by Synlawn in Dandenong (10 year warranty) or imported from the factory in Vietnam.

I don't normally do new estate landscaping as my passion is giving existing gardens a makeover and a new life, however I had a real connection with the new owners (Michael & Mary-Anne) of this property and they gave me so much freedom to get creative. So based on the indigenous plant list prepared by the City of Greater Geelong and the requirement for a native theme by the developer for the frontyard and a colour scheme of whites & purples by the owners for the backyard (except the citrus trees as they were their choice) I came up with the following. See attached before, during and after photo's. Hope you like it as I certainly do!

Here are photo's of a makeover I did in Torquay a few months back in October. I didn't post the before and afters then as I wanted to wait a couple of months so that I could go back and take some more photo's to give the new garden time to settle in and the grass to grow + green up after fertilising. It looks pretty spectacular now! Kudos to the owner (Dympna) who gave me complete discretion to come up with a makeover plan that included rocks and natives. I really wish I had a photo of what was there originally as it was just masses of weeds and native grasses. This is one of my most favourite jobs ever.......so proud!😍

Finished this makeover off at lunchtime on Christmas Eve. Was head down and bum up to get it done for Santa! What an amazing transformation.......

New house in Grovedale......full landscaping on backyard and frontyard for a family friend. The winter weather has been so kind.....not! Knee deep in clay and mud for most of it. Anyway the final result and the beeming smile on Ria's face has made it all the more worthwhile.

Completed this one all by myself.....and very proud of the finished result. Thank you to the owner Jill for trusting me with the design and being so nice to work for. Hope you enjoy it for many years to come!
