Happy 80th Birthday to an absolute legend, Brian Chapman.
Brian has been one of the biggest supporters of me throughout my coaching journey. Through the highs and the lows, he has always been there — offering guidance, wisdom, encouragement and friendship. His support has never been about recognition for himself; it has always been about helping others become better.
His selflessness in helping me coach, sharing advice, and giving his time so generously is something I will always be grateful for. I honestly could not ask for a better friend or mentor.
In my opinion, Brian is one of Queensland’s greatest running coaches. The impact he has had on athletes, coaches and the running community over so many years is truly remarkable. His knowledge of the sport is incredible, but even more impressive is the kind of person he is.
Thank you Brian for everything you have done for me and for so many others. I hope you have a wonderful 80th birthday
