This is a personal post to say we recently sold our house in Adelaide - and we've decided to take some time off, and explore this beautiful country 🇦🇺 We've bought ourselves a van, and we'll continue working on our online businesses while we're on the road.

The past six months have been busy for the HOME SPACE team - and we’ve wrapped lots of home maintenance and gardening projects for our wonderful clients 💚

We wrapped another HOME SPACE project in Coromandel Valley last week. We rejuvenated this 30-year-old deck to remove slip hazards and maintain the integrity of the timber - and we’re so pleased with the result!

The past six months have been busy for the HOME SPACE team - and we’ve wrapped lots of home projects for our amazing clients 💚

We wrapped another HOME SPACE project in Adelaide’s eastern suburbs today. Over time an artificial lawn collects bits of dirt, debris and plant matter which can make it look flat and not as vibrant. We rejuvenated this 11-year-old faux lawn to improve the life, quality, look and hygiene - and we’re thrilled with the result! Contact us for a free quote today

We wrapped another beautiful HOME SPACE project in Urrbrae today. For this project, we installed outdoor privacy screening featuring these stunning metal wall art panels - and our happy clients’ response: “Looks fabulous!”

We wrapped another beautiful HOME SPACE project in Highbury today. For this project, we removed old decorative timbers, repaired gables and verandah, completed render repairs, then we filled, sanded and painted the front of this home in contemporary colours to create a fresh, updated look - and our client is delighted.

We wrapped another HOME SPACE project in Flagstaff Hill today. For this rear garden rejuvenation project, we started with soil preparation and conditioning. Next, we mass-planted a combination of pretty cottage plants and water-wise natives to complement the stunning view out to the Nature Reserve. We constructed new steps leading to the lower terrace, installed irrigation and applied mulch to complete this beautiful, low maintenance space. We enjoyed working on this garden - and our clients are loving being out in their new garden and enjoying the outlook from their kitchen window!

We are progressing well with this staged HOME SPACE new-build project in Newenham Estate in the Adelaide Hills. Today, we installed automated irrigation and mass-planted magnolias to create a beautiful screen/hedge. This specimen reaches a height of 3.5m metres and produces large creamy white, citrus scented flowers in spring and summer. It has shiny dark green leaves with contrasting velvet copper toned undersides, which complement the rich earthy colours of the brick, render, fencing and Spotted Gum timber deck - with garden views from the kitchen, dining and living room. Next, we’ll turn our focus to planting out the rear garden bed, installing river rocks and aggregate concrete, and designing the kitchen garden - we are so loving how this staged project is shaping up and our clients are delighted!

We wrapped another beautiful HOME SPACE project in Glen Osmond today. For this project, we pruned hedges and trees, and mulched the front and rear garden beds. Next, we planted out a raised garden bed with an array of butterfly-attracting cottage plants - in time for our clients’ baby shower this weekend. The brief was for “pretty” white flowering plants - and these cottage plants, complemented by flowering ground cover and three feature Poplar trees, will provide a spray of pure white flowers each Spring & Summer - creating a “garden bouquet” to be enjoyed from the stunning outdoor patio area.

We are mid-way through another beautiful HOME SPACE project in Newenham Estate in the Adelaide Hills. For this staged project, we recommended excavation and retaining walls to maximise the space, and an aggregate concrete driveway and paths. We arranged Colourbond fencing and gates, and installed a custom sandstone letterbox in charcoal to complement this stunning Scott Salisbury architecturally-designed home. We planted out the front garden beds with an array of butterfly-attracting, waterwise Australian natives and wildflowers, and we sourced an established Forest Pansy, which takes pride of place as a feature tree. For the rear garden, we constructed a low deck off the outdoor room in sustainable, eco-friendly spotted gum. We’ll now let the natural oils and tannins in the timber settle, ready for staining in about six weeks. Next, we’ll turn our focus to designing the rear garden - we love how this project is shaping up and our clients are delighted!

We wrapped another HOME SPACE project in Aldgate today. For this project, we removed the original 1970s laundry trough, old tiles and old tapware. We sourced and installed a new freestanding Laundry Tub Cabinet and updated the space with classic white subway tiles, white grout and white silicone. We also installed new chrome tapware and painted the walls in crisp white. This functional space is clean and fresh - and our clients love the result!

We wrapped another HOME SPACE project in Broadview today. For this project, we started with soil prep in three garden beds. Next we planted out privacy hedging, screening shrubs and small native grasses, installed irrigation and organic mulch. The result: a beautiful, low maintenance garden and a very happy client!
