Starting the winter garden prep! Ive been to the the dairy farm and collected a heap of manure thats been sitting for a while to turn into the soil, and nets are starting to go up. The nets protect my winter veg from white cabbage moth- no sprays needed!!

I’ve been quiet here on FB. There is lots of progress happening in the new garden, but there is also a long way to go! Today there was more Bamboo removal happening, but we also got a visit from our neighbouring cows 🐄They will be making some great contributions to the garden once it’s set up! 💩 🤣

Asparagus!!! The plant that takes patience…. These spears are from seeds I planted about 2 1/2 years ago.. But they are worth the wait. Asparagus are perennial - and the crowns the spears grow from will last 20 years- sometimes more 😁

I’ve really been missing Hinterland life lately, and haven’t seen or heard a kookaburra for a while, so to spot this young kookaburra in our suburban yard really made my day. ♥️☮️🌏
