This week’s new creations, a couple of caddies, a large throw, 3 Lapghans and a lantern. I tried the collage photo app last week, this week I’ve trialed photographing the throws on my Kloudsac….. but I’m not a fan 🤪 I really thought it was my old phone that was the issue with photo’s but it really is just me 🤦🏻‍♀️

The Mema & Co. story…… an introduction for our new followers.

I’m Jo, Tammy-Jo really but no one calls me that. In my ‘past life’ I worked with Canberra businesses and charities across Canberra and the region. In 2018 I was made redundant and I became a full time carer. For some time felt I lost my own identity, I share this as I’m sure there are many of you that can relate.

I always wanted to be creative.... but wasn’t.
It took a long time for me to start prioritising some ‘me time’ It started with mindful colouring in, then jigsaws of landscapes that I’d complete,frame and hang. In March 2024 I gave in and tried decoupage as it kept appearing on my FB feed. The first pic are the items I created in my first two days of decoupaging, I fell in love with it.

My two youngest children are creative, one was forging, the other had many creative outlets. That’s when Mema & Co. began, we were making so much, I started taking our creations to markets at our local shopping centres.

Over the past two years, I’ve continued to bring my children’s creations when they are creating, they are the Co. in Mema & Co. We also expanded our market attendance. I should add my two oldest children are also creative but they don’t create for Mema & Co. ( I don’t want them to feel left out of this post 🤪)

I fell in love with chunky finger knitting in March of 2025. The second pic is the very first chunky knit I made, a throw for my youngest grandson. There are other crafts I want to try, so keep an eye out.

I love making things and I love seeing them go to a new home. I feel like I’ve regained a purpose outside of my home and the market community is the biggest part of that.

, Lakeside Markets and I’ve recently started attending . I’m also grateful to be a part of , a store with over 60 local stockists.

I share our creations weekly and some behind the scenes on FB and Instagram. I also promote all my upcoming markets, not just those I’ve named here. I hate photographs of myself but my analytics tell me that posts where I include myself perform better, hence the selfies 🤪

All set up for ‘Kids in the Shed’ at . There are ride on cars and activities for kids around the market today. We are here til 2.30, there is something here for young and ……not so young 🥰

This week’s new creations, a caddy, baskets, play rugs and a throw. If you have a baby shower coming up or are expecting, I have quite a few play rugs and caddies available at the moment.

I downloaded a new photo collage app but I’m not a fan 😬🤦🏻‍♀️ I am pretty sure it’s the user and not the app that’s an issue, so bare with me for the next couple of weeks and I’ll see how we go.

A reminder I’ll be at the this Sunday for ‘Kids in the Shed’. There will be lots of activities for kids to participate in and see from 9.30-2.30

First Winter Market of the year, I’m here at until 2pm. The fog is lifting, the sun is trying to come out, hopefully it will make a proper appearance soon 🥰

This week’s creations, a Lapghan, large throw and if you didn’t see my stories on Wednesday, I took part in the Scrap blanket challenge. It took me right out of my comfort zone. I’ve also made a couple of caddies and a large basket but won’t post just yet as they will be gifts.

These 3 throws will be available at tomorrow. As the ‘scrap blanket’ is not my usual aesthetic I am selling it for $120. A reminder that I have also reduced my current play rugs to $50.

I just completed the Holymolydane scrap blanket challenge. Was it hard? Yes!! It was so hard for me to let go, to not control the colour layout, the stitches, to not have control at all of the end result.
I have 3 different 'scrap' piles, categorised by size..... because I'm organised and like everything to be in its place 🤪The scraps I used were from my larger scraps
pile.
I actually really loved the challenge...... because it did challenge me so much. I'm really happy with the end result. I might even give it a go again with my shorter scraps 🤔

It’s the last day of Autumn and I am spending it at . I am all set up and ready for a great market day. Keep an eye on my story as there are a couple of items I am reducing to clear today.
