It’s not all gardens!!! 🌱🪴🪻

I’ve been looking after these Apple, Plum + Nectarines trees since winter!

My client explained that she was never really been able to harvest any fruit due to a Coddling Moth infestation, Leaf Curl + Aphid/Honey Dew.

After some thorough research, I’ve been able to implement a successful Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Plan.

The proof is in the pudding with these before (slide 4-6) and after (slide 1-3) pics!

The plan last for 12 Months (which I’m apart of for the first 3 months) and then wash and repeat!

Since January, I’ve been pouring everything I know into one of my biggest gardens… and what a transformation!

From weeding, pruning, spraying, and sooooo much mulching, this space is finally coming to life.

Made up of 10 unique gardens, Daisy Bank blends the charm of English cottage blooms with the beauty of Australian natives.

While Kikuyu is still brown and the roses have died back - Bulbs are popping, Natives are thriving and Tall Fescue is showing off why they are the best cool weather lawn. That’s why it’s an ALL year round business!

Winter has still been busy but we are just about to start hitting spring! Time to do some preventive spraying with some Lime Sulphur, start feeding and spraying the lawn to add an extra punch for spring while feeding some hedges + roses along the way!

Looking forward to an action packed Spring + Summer! ✨

BEFORE & AFTER 🌱

It’s never too late for a lil’ lawn reno. This patch has been STRUG-GER-LING at one of my regular clients house. Especially after all this rain!

Luckily, her lawn has a mixture of Tall Fescue, Kentucky Bluegrass & Rye - a nice Cold Weather blend.

All this patch needed was some aeration, new sandy loam organic matter & a sprinkle of seed. Plus a good rake! 😂

While it isn’t ideal time for something to grow - this area will feel a whole lot better once spring comes back around!

Project ‘Abelia’

One of my biggest projects to date! I can’t wait to see these Abelia & Westringia hedges really take off in the spring - as well as the Hydrangea garden along the house!

Clients vision: Hedging plants along colorbond fence, new deck with flowering plant along house. Nice winter foliage for hedges.

This project included:

📝 Measurements of 3 Garden Beds taken for calculations towards mulch, soil & plants.
💸 Quotions and orders secured
🚛 Area leveled for garden builds
🌿Abelia, Westringia & Hydrangea cuttings added to the pre-exsisting garden bed.
🐓 Rooster Booster, Seamunguas to really give the new plants a chance
🌳 10cm of Pine Mulch to suppress any weeds

A nice lil’ secret garden this one is! Back in April, I received a message to see if I could help out with some hedges; with future help with maintenance and projects - I happily obliged! Such a change after only two sessions!

WOW - it’s my 1 year anniversary! ACG GARDENS is officially 1! How crazy!

I started with two clients 12 months ago and now I’ve grown to take on multiple clients, properties & projects, with some coming on board in the last 6 weeks!

I’ve learned SOOOO much along the way - slowly discovering new ways to approach gardens, what plants I like to work with and what’s the best herbicide/pesticide to use with infestations.

I’ve picked up a few bigger clients, especially in the last six months, so I haven’t been able to post as much BUT it’s been so lovely to get out there and show the world what I’ve got to offer!

A big THANK YOU to my new & existing clients!

While this much needed rain has kept me inside much of this week, here are some of the gardens I've been looking after!

Some tidy ups as on-going restoration projects + others are regular weekly/fortnightly visits! Clearing, mulching & spraying - preparing for the winter to come & giving them the best possible advantage throught the colder months.

…and preparing myself for rose pruning in July/Aug 🤣
