Research is key.
Over the past week I have been diving into the world of the role of business toward sustainability. Previously, I had only measured sustainability by the things I had touched, recycled, composted, used or thrown away. Safe to say the area is now more far-throwing. We as individuals have the control to drive sustainable business which may include shifting from our current retailers.
Wandering through Google and podcasts, I have searched a range of organisations and initiatives that I haven't heard of that I thought should be common knowledge. In an age of acronyms, I thought there is one we should be focussing on... SDG.
I have signed up to many sustainable pages, watched the news, read the newspaper but nowhere have I seen this and I guess, why haven't I seen this?
SDG's (Sustainable Development Goals) are targets that the UN have thought worthy to try to achieve by 2030. If they have that ambition, so should we! Check out what they are and why they are important in the link and let us know what you think.
