Here at Rewild Horticulture our work is varied and specialised.
A few terms of the work we undertake and what they mean. Don't be overwhelmed by the 'words' we are using nature to help nature. Just with a little science and good practices to achieve the best outcomes we can.
Phytoremediation: Using specialized plants and trees to extract, degrade, or contain heavy metals, hydrocarbons, and excessive nutrients from the soil.
Bioremediation: Incorporating microbes, fungi, and natural enzymes to break down chemical contaminants like pesticide residues.Biofumigants & Cover Cropping:
Planting and incorporating specific cover crops (e.g., Ethiopian mustard) to enrich the soil microbiome and suppress soil-borne pathogens.
Soil Washing & Amendment: Treating the physical growing medium with chelants, organic matter, or appropriate salts to balance pH and correct salinity issues.
