What we offer:
● Experience is a bonus, but not essential as we offer training and can match you to the right position depending on your interests and skillset.

● Casual position, from 8 to 38+ hours depending on your skills and preference

What you must have to be considered:
👍 A genuine interest in working – please no time wasters
👍 Current manual C class drivers licence
👍 Own transport (we are based in Curra)
👍 Ability to provide a suitable police check and obtain an NDIS worker screening check
👍 Covid-19 vaccination (for most roles)

Why do I need to be vaccinated to mow lawns?

As an NDIS registered service provider and preferred provider for aged care we are required to only supply workers who are fully vaccinated. It’s about ensuring we minimise the risk to our most vulnerable clients, and they continue to have access to an essential service.

Now Hiring - Casual Lawn & Garden Maintenance Team Members

We’re looking for reliable, fit and motivated individuals who take pride in their workmanship to join our team. As part of our team, you will be responsible for:

• Lawn mowing – zero turn and walk-behind mowing
• Edging/Whipper snipping
• Hedging
• Weeding
• Garden bed maintenance
• Site clean-up
• Mulching
• Spraying and fertilising lawns & gardens
• General maintenance tasks and external cleaning

• Hold a current manual Drivers Licence – with the ability to tow a trailer
• Must be willing and able to travel to Curra daily

• Hold (or obtain) a white card (Qld General Construction Industry Induction)
• Double vaccinated against Covid-19

• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
• Have an upbeat and positive attitude!

What a massive effort these three put in on this turf overhaul, and they’re still smiling 😃

Scott, Matt and Jordo moved mountains (of dirt!) to transform this lawn from average to amazing 🌱

Once the grass and weeds were killed the boys put in some serious effort to remove the unsuitable material, before bringing in a couple of truckloads of premium soil to create a healthy smooth base to lay the stunning Limerick Buffalo from Sunset Turf

The Brief: Create a cottage garden and fill the entry with pinks, purples and whites

This is one of my favourite projects at the moment, our beautiful Client has put full trust in us to return her gardens to their former beauty, giving us a gorgeous brief and free reign to recreate the gardens as if they are our own.

The first step was to clear out everything that didn't fit the brief, or the space. We removed masses of rhoeo, mondo grass, agave, fire bug and a few shrubs and some well established weeds.

We then added an eclectic mix of flowering cottage plants to compliment the existing plants. Think lavender, fuchsia, snap dragons, pansies and camellias to name a few. Two ornamental feature trees arriving in July will add height and masses of colour when in bloom! We finished off with some hoop pine mulch to make everything pop.

Our Client loves it and we can't wait to start the backyard!

Happy Easter Gympie 🐰

The Easter bunny certainly delivered this year, buckets and buckets of rain that is! It’s great to see the region so green at this time of year, a fantastic boost for our farmers before winter.

A big thank you to all our wonderful Clients for your support and our team for all the hard work you’ve put in so far this year. We’ve been pretty quiet on socials, but we’ve been anything but in the real world. Our team has taken a very, very well earned break over the long weekend, but we’ll get back in the swing of things Tuesday and we promise to share some of the amazing Projects we’ve been working on over summer.

I hope everyone is having a well deserved break this long weekend, it’s the perfect weather for a cuppa tea and a hot cross bun

Turf Preparation & Install 🌱

Last week we gave the a complete lawn overhaul and doesn't she look amazing 🤩

A great lawn is more than just throwing down some new turf, it's all in the prep (and great quality grass from Sunset Turf). All that remained of the old lawn was a patch of weeds which had to go! The existing ground was tilled and a truckload of premium soil brought in to provide a healthy base and help smooth out the area. A complete irrigation system was installed to make watering a breeze.

Limerick Buffalo was the perfect choice as the area will be used for weddings and parties, it's beautifully green and soft, but also hard wearing and shade tolerant. Six pallets of turf were brought in (by hand!) to complete the job. The new lawn was given a good soak, some specially formulated fertiliser and wetting agent to give it the best possible start!
