Hey legends 👋

Just a bit of an update from us at Mow and Build.
For those who don’t know — Mow and Build has always just been a trading name under Horo Constructions. It gave Ben something to keep busy with while recovering from an injury, doing mowing, slashing and property work 🌱

Now that he’s back into it, the focus has shifted back to what he’s done for nearly 30 years — building 🔨

Ben’s a licensed, fully insured builder, with a huge range of experience from renovations and extensions right through to structural and commercial work. A big part of his background is also in older homes and heritage restorations, so he knows how to handle those jobs properly.

👉 We’ll still take on the odd property job
👉 But the main focus moving forward is through Horo Constructions

Big update from us 👇
After a few years running Mow and Build here in Gympie, we just wanted to let everyone know we are now operating under Horo Constructions.
Mow and Build was created during a time where injury meant stepping back from full building work and focusing on lighter jobs. Now that things are back on track, we’re returning to full-time building and commercial work.
Same people, same work ethic — just back doing what we’ve done for 30+ years 👌
👉 All new projects and updates will now be shared on our Horo Constructions page, so make sure you head over and give us a follow.
Thanks so much to everyone in Gympie who has supported Mow and Build over the past few years — we appreciate it more than you know 🙌

One of Our Standout Projects!

This job was a real challenge — the existing deck was severely deteriorated and structurally unsafe. The house itself had sunk by 67mm at its worst point.

Over three days, using four 20-ton jacks, we carefully brought it back to level — now sitting within 3mm over a 20-metre span.

We also rebuilt the deck and repaired rotten cladding, delivering a result we’re extremely proud of. A big effort with a quality finish that speaks for itself.
