When Doll housing walls to trims (where two different colours and gloss levels join) we always tape and gap the edge, this gives a sharp looking finish, the edge of the tape should only have a minimal amount of no more gap applied to achieve the desired look, too much product applied will cause the opposite affect.

A couple of happy customers at this newly completed home in Tewantin, they told me that they did research on all the trades prior to choosing a builder for this project, the thing that stuck in my mind is that the owner said that the reason they went with Oakvale homes and not someone else, was that all the trades were from the same area and been in business for quite some time, Teamwork makes the Dream work 💪

We used Dulux from inspirations in Mellor st in Gympie , we added mould inhibitor to all coats to give this home a fighting chance against the elements because of being a brilliant white.

After a scrub with deck wash to remove tannins, stains and oils, we apply a coat of Dulux Intergrain primer to the timber, this soaks in deep into the surface and gives the top coats the correct film thickness and adhesion it needs to withstand heavy foot traffic and wear and tear against the elements. By not using a primer on exterior timber and only using the top coats, expect your timber to start breaking down by blistering and peeling within 12 months of application. A deck is usually the main feature of the exterior your home and can add value if done correctly.
