Horticulturist Wanted- Part time position available.

We’re on the lookout for a passionate, people-loving horticulturist to join our crew in the heart of the Yarra Valley. If you’ve got solid plant knowledge, a can-do attitude, and a knack for making customers feel welcome, we want to hear from you!

About Us:
Healesville Garden Supplies is a community hub for green thumbs, weekend warriors, and local tradies and landscapers who keep the valley growing. Our team blends horticultural know-how with good humour, practical advice, and a genuine love for helping people.

The Role:
We’re after someone who can:
- Offer expert advice on plants, soils, pests, and seasonal care
- Work hands-on with stock, displays, and orders
- Collaborate with a small, tight-knit team (we’ve got each other’s backs)
- Communicate clearly and kindly with customers and colleagues
- Bring energy, reliability, and a sense of humour to the day-to-day

What You’ll Need:
- Formal horticulture qualification (Cert III or higher)
- Solid plant knowledge (native and exotic)
- Retail or customer service experience
- A team-first mindset — we’re not into lone wolves
- Availability across weekdays and some weekends

Bonus Points For:
- Experience with social media
- A forklift/loader licence
- A love of dogs
