What an amzing day. First up was Narellan Public School where we started our journey leaning about our Totem the Lyre Bird. Kids coloured in a lyre bird whilst I asked them questions on what they want to learn about the lyre bird whilst senior students jumped on the computer to find facts out which they later taught the students. Amazing.
Then Liam and I headed out to the Oaks for didge lessons apart of bro speak and wow a student called Lucas had one on one time with Liam and by the end could circular breath and make many different sounds. Whilst that was happening I was with the boys on the didge and all of them had majority progressed. What a great day for culture.

Mabo day 2026, we celebrated it today at Leichhardt Park by using our hand print art on large pots to plant some blue berries and passionfruit. Kids learned about different soils, flowers and pollinators. Although not native plants it was more about planting plants for future children to enjoy.

Bush tucker work shop. Great day, great guests, food and yarns. We started off with how to make davidson plum cordial cordial, kangaroo gyoza with prawn and octopus and a mushroom one for vegetarian people, fish parcels, kangaroo pies with wattle seed mash, ricotta and spinach pies for vegetarian with wattle seed mash, middle eastern infused salad and a finger lime chews cake to finish. Yummy times 10. Thank you to all that turned up. It’s the best feeling sharing culture with food

Reconciliation week cooking bush tucker work shop. Amazing guests, food, yarns and a great hands on experience. Cordial, fish parcels, kangaroo gyoza, kangaroo pies, finger lime chews cake, middle eastern infused bush tucker salad. Was great to have Aunty Carol as a special guest, met new friends and great catching up with Kirsten. Big thanks to all that came to experience culture and love through cooking.

Amazing day at Leichhardt Park Early Learning Centre, making biscuits for Eid, boomerang art for Reconciliation Week and a beautiful lunch. The staff, parents and the children are so supportive about Aborigional Culture. I was kid napped by 3 students who made me sit with them to read them story’s, thanked by a parent who’s child is Aborigional saying how important it is that I’m there. Days like this I cherish forever.

What an amazing day at Bundanoon Public School as part of reconciliation week. Today it was raining wet and cold but it didn’t stop the kids or staff from connecting with country walking the grounds of the school discussing bush tucker and how to care for country with plants and animals. I gave them the knowledge then the kids made videos and talked about what they learned to share with the future kids and staff. I don’t really judge schools but this one is number one in the southern highlands in connecting and caring for country. Natives everywhere, bird life everywhere, willing to learn everywhere. Look forward to coming back. Thank you Bundanoon it was an honour and pleasure.

Celebrating Reconciliation Week in style, bush tucker, boomerang throwing, ochre and didge. Kids and staff where amazing
