Bit of a soppy post ha ha…. After something as small as a gorgeous client(🩵Karen🩵) messaging me to help her with paint colours on Wednesday- because she trusted my guidance!

People often ask me how I’ve stayed in the joinery industry for nearly 20 years.

The truth is… I genuinely love it.

Not just the finished kitchen. Not just the photos.

I love the design process.
I LOVE learning new and better ways to do things.
I love solving problems.
I love the pressure of a complicated project.
I love seeing dozens of moving parts come together exactly as planned.

At the end of most days, I’m completely exhausted.

But despite the long hours, deadlines and responsibility, I still get excited about what I do.

Because my amazing team and I are not just building kitchens and joinery….We’re creating the backdrop to people’s lives.

The kitchen where Christmas lunch is served.
The island bench where homework gets done.
The place where family and friends gather.
The space where memories are made for years to come.

And as much as I love the design and craftsmanship, my favourite part is still receiving that message after the job is finished:

“We absolutely love it.”

After all these years, that feeling never gets old.

That’s the stuff that keeps me punching 🥊

Little sneak peak of some joinery going in next week…
Every joinery project we do is special… but this one is next level special for me and the team. This joinery is for one of our staff MITCH and his Stella wife Bree.

We’ve watched Mitch work hard, save hard and dream big! The week just gone he put in huge hours to bring this to reality and next week the masterpieces get installed.
He’s been my most painful client of 2026 😂😂😂 but it was so worth it for the smiles on his face as it came together 🩵

Massive shout out to all my boys! You’ve worked hard on this one for Mitchy … so thank you 🩵

Some things in business are bigger than kitchens, cabinetry, or design.

This wall in my office is personal.
“My Way” was Dad’s song — a Frank Sinatra classic that became part of our family story. It played at his funeral, and ever since, those words have stayed with me:

Twenty years in business hasn’t always been easy, but I’ve always believed in doing things properly, staying true to who we are, and building a business with heart, integrity, and hard work.

Every kitchen, every project, every challenge… done our way…. It became a strong part of what Proform stands for…craftsmanship, independence, and doing things properly rather than following trends.
