Mt Rumney Project.
Although we are still working on this project, we had to share our Moon Gate, installed by more the masterful . The gate flows through to the rear of the garden framing a sentimental Wollemi Pine and grounds the space in time as both the stone and pine hail from the days of the ancient super continent Gondwana. Dolerite covers nearly 40% of the state making it our most significant geological feature. Being incredibly dense, it takes fierce gumption and skill to shape when compared to the softer stone found on mainland Australia. Oscar and Roo are genuine masters of their craft. We can’t wait to throw another stone design into their realm.

Manressa Ave Project.
Tufted hair-grass “Deschampsia cespitosa” is a resilient native grass that can handle full sun through to part shade. The whimsical feathery flowers create a rhythm and softness that can be left once spent to be enjoyed into the colder months, providing structure and habitat for smaller insects and invertebrates. Amongst the green form of the “Dianella tasmanica” and “Goodenia ovata”, the simple and subtle tones of Sandstone and Tas Gold gravel help create cohesion and balance the elements, bringing the space a sense of calm and serenity, something we can all benefit from. .hobart on the lens

Grebe St Project.
collaborated closely with the team, adding a personal touch to her garden. A series of sea creature-shaped ceramics arranged vertically around the pergola, honoring the nearby Primrose Sands coastline and the weird and wonderful critters that live below the tide lines.
A well-designed garden reflects the unique character of its surroundings, clients and broader landscape. This concept, known as Genius Loci—“the pervading spirit of place” is our namesake and it is the starting point when we begin to consider design, installs and plant outs. The ‘what,’ ‘where,’ and ‘why’ guides us to create a sense of balance and belonging, ensuring that each garden feels unique and connects to its broader environment. Rada Rd Project (Stage 1) Our design brief was to bring cohesion to the property. Rather than bring more randomness into the site, we utilised the repetition of basic and natural materials. A simple palette of elements, stone from the site, timber sourced from the near by miller, steel, and gravel red from the local geology creating flow and rhythm to the site. Rather than add more, we minimised and let the surrounding landscape do the heavy work. The tall eucalyptus trees anchored our curves and shapes making them a feature rather than one of many. Framing the view from different vantage points , creating lines that lead the eye and utilising the amazing into the irrigation system, the property has a sense of place and a unique personality much like its owners. Stage 2 will see the fire pit area, fencing, an extensive plant out and I dare say some more creative input from the ever creative clients. Thanks to the team as always and to all those involved. And thanks to the Autumn burn offs for making the sun a golden glow this morning.
