Building Ampara was a rural community project of iDiDe Sri Lanka (2015-2016) where students from three universities - Deakin University, International Islamic University of Malaysia and University of Moratuwa collaborated to design a Womens Craft Centre for the community of Ampara. The major project sponsor and partner was Aspirations Education Foundation. It is lovely to see the building realised and in operation where the women are now occupied and learning skills to empower and create independent incomes for themselves.
