Welcome to the team, Albo.

Our silent partner with a 47% stake in the business. I finally decided it was time for him to earn some of that β€œfree money”.

Safe to say the apprenticeship isn’t off to a great start…
Bricks are off bond, didnt lift the line up, and he turned up with a trowel better suited for a kid’s sandpit.

Classic Albo.

Rebuilt this section today after it was damaged by a vehicle impact. Cleaned up and reused the original bricks for the front section to maintain the existing look.

The return wall leading to the window was completed using the closest available match supplied by the brick representative, as the original brick in the brick-and-a-half height has since been discontinued.

Finished this project yesterday and returned this morning for final clean-up and to collect the excavator.

This build consisted of 47.5 metres of retaining wall designed to direct water runoff while creating a larger, more usable space closer to the house.
The upper section provides approximately 5–5.5 metres of additional width, extending through to the shed and rear of the property.
The wall was constructed as face blocks without caps, giving the owners the flexibility to either paint or render the finish in the future.
For those who havent followed the progress over the past few weeks, approximately 40–50 tonnes of material was relocated to the rear of the property using the posi-track and mini excavator.

It was a challenging build at times due to the weather, but I pushed through to stay as close to schedule as possible, with only a couple of days lost throughout the project.

A big thank you to Sam and Laura for being fantastic clients throughout the build. Good people and great conversations always make projects like this even more enjoyable. And for those who know me β€” I can talk underwater. 🀣

Finally got a day to finish this one off. Back to the big retaining build tommorow. πŸ‘πŸ˜
