Progress in upcycling is like a waterfall:

It starts with a discarded item, and through creativity, transforms into a renewed piece, carving out a new purpose and story from what was once forgotten.

Here is the latest update from my waterfall inspired piece.

I can't credit the person who wrote the quote on the last pic in this thread, as many names came up.

Things don't always go as we imagine, so sometimes we just have to toss out our grand designs and start new ones.

Who knows if the fresh approach will pan out, but nothing ventured nothing gained.

That's a wrap... for now.

The workshop where I've met most of you fabulous people over the past 5 years has officially closed its door for the last time.

I won't lie... Many tears were shed. However, just like a phoenix, I keep on rising 🔥

A new door with a new journey has already opened 🚪

Life may change our direction and take us on a detour. We are still going on the right way, but it may take a little longer.

Well, hello 🙋‍♀️

I hope you've all been fabulous 💞

I haven't said G'day for quite some time...

Not because I haven't wanted to, but I needed to find a balance.

As most of you know, I'm a massive advocate for social
justice, diversity, and making changes within the mental health industry.

I've been studying full-time on campus since June last year.

Such an amazing experience with incredible teachers.

My passion will always be empowering through expressive art.

My furniture art is on hold at the moment, but I've found another way to express my feelings whilst balancing being a Mum, studying and advocating.

It's a different way of how I would usually express myself through furniture art, but I've enjoyed it.

Don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone.

I have such a bitter sweet relationship with tiktok.

I don't watch TV, but can scroll endlessly on tiktok laughing and being inspired... Also some impulse purchases.

The human sized dog bed being one of them 🤦‍♀️

I stopped buying from tiktok but haven't stopped being inspired.

I experimented with paint pouring today on a cheap kmart canvas to see if I could make it work on future pieces 🧐

The results weren't an instant success like I hoped.

I don't hate it...

I'll keep on experimenting without giving up until I find something that works.

G'day 🙋‍♀️

I hope you've been fabulous and keep seeing beauty 💞

It's been a bit chaotic here at the 'Three Reasons HQ'.

I was a bit unsure we were even going to have a HQ here anymore, after receiving a rent increase of $100 and only a 6 month lease renewal with zero negotiation 🤯

I don't know what, why or how, but I just signed 8 months with no increase... I couldn't be more grateful as I know it's so tough out there 🙌🏽

I completely changed where this sunset piece was heading...

I did a rainbow blend with a dreamcatcher, tree of life mandala and tribal stencilling, and used some cool napkins for the shelves and layered some random paper I found at a party shop.

G'day 🙋🏽‍♀️

I hope this miserable weather didn't stop you from seeing any beauty, even if it did stop you from doing other things.

Even though my lawn is a little soggy, its not as crunchy.
WINNING! 🤸🏻‍♀️

I also started this piece.

I get so excited with flat face drawers, the possibilities with what can be done are endless, especially when it comes to decoupage 🤩

I couldn't visualise how the 2 options I originally wanted to use for this particular piece would work 🤔

Scrapped that idea... Painted my frustration on to it, then saw something 🧐

I blended the colours in which reminded me of a sunset.

A plan that doesn't go to plan, could perhaps lead you to something even more fabulous.

Nothing more beautiful than a sunset 🌅 🤩

It's finished, however my phone screen is smashed which is making it incredibly hard to take photos and type as the bottom half of the screen goes in and out of consciousness.
