It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our Founding Director, Wesley Hindmarch, over the Easter weekend, following a long illness.
Wesley was a mentor, a leader, and a dear friend. He was deeply committed to regional architecture and believed that good design should be for everyone.
He worked tirelessly to support regional practitioners, building strong relationships with local councils and advocating for architects to work within their own communities. He also formed meaningful relationships with Indigenous groups, ensuring their voices were respected in the places we help shape.
Wesley’s contribution to architecture was significant, with award-winning work across residential and community projects. Most notably, the Artie Smith Oval development—his greatest achievement—reflects his commitment to community, place, and thoughtful design.
His influence on our practice is profound, and the values he established will continue to guide everything we do.
We are heartbroken and will miss him greatly. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones.
