Well folks I’m back after a bit of time off. Beautiful Zamia furfuracea plants potted up into 300 and 40m pots. Absolutely stunning!!! Glorious green new leaves. Don’t you just wanna buy them 🙃.

Any ideas of which Encephalartos sp. that this may be?
I found it poked away in my South African group, all identifying tags were lost a long time ago when potting them up many times from seedling stage.

Encephalartos sclavoi, female cone.
The trunks are very large, one is around 1 meter tall with a diameter of almost 60cm.
The leaves on the plant on the left are over 2.5meters tall.
There are 2 Encephalartos sclavoi side by side showing extreme variations within the species, there are five destinct forms.
This is attributed to the species still going through their evolution process, it mag take hundreds of thousands or millions of years for them to stabilise into a distinct species.
We have many stunning and mature specimens available now ready for export.

This species is more cold hardy than the other species and they carry and retain more leaves into the deciduous period.
