The difference with joinery that lasts a lifetime is often what happens before installation.

Before a natural finish window or door leaves our factory, every face, edge and joint has been pre-oiled. Not as an optional extra. As standard.

Because timber is a natural material. It picks up moisture on a cold delivery day in Goulburn. It dries out sitting on a hot slab in Mudgee's 35-degree summer heat.

We've seen what happens when timber gets left uncoated until the build is complete, which can be weeks or months. Pre-oiling nourishes the timber's structure from day one, protecting your investment.

We use Intergrain Universal Timber Oil which is compatible with water- and oil-based coatings so you or your painter can go straight over the top post-install.

We've had the pleasure of working with Chris Freeburn of Ironbark Architecture on a couple of projects, beginning with Wirringulla in Ku-ring-gai National Park.

This renovation reworks an existing shack using passive design principles to create a home where sustainability is woven through every layer of the build.

After a factory visit to work through details and see our process, we manufactured double glazed windows, doors, and joinery elements all in clear coated hardwood – and all delivered to site by boat.

A highlight for us is seeing how good architecture lands in daily life: light filling new spaces; windows framing close encounters with lyrebirds or wallabies; greater connection to nature. Here's to homes that look good and work well.

Great to see some of our clients opening their homes for Sustainable House Day, including Geoff's owner-built hempcrete house in Narara Ecovillage.

We manufactured double-glazed windows & external doors in FSC-certified Murray Red Gum to meet BAL-29 bushfire rating, and contribute to the build's 8.8 star passive solar rating.

Held next Sunday 17 May, Sustainable House Day will see people across Australia open their doors, sharing what they’ve learned about making homes more comfortable, affordable and climate ready.
