Do you know your creek area off Lomandra Street in Chapel Hill?
The Ardes-Lomandra Streets Bushcare Group has rehabilitated this patch of creek and flood plain over the past 7 years. It is now full of trees, shrubs and grasses and more wildlife.
Why not come to see us at our next working bee, on Sunday 2 March from 0830, and have a wander through it yourself.

During our working bee today, after we planted 40 trees, we were looking at the bestir native hibiscus flowers and nearly stepped on this beaitiful 2.5m python.

Amazing progress with our hard working group planting over 1200 native plants since late 2017, both canopy trees and understory plants. Our job now is to keep the weeds away from the growing plants and watering. It will be a beautiful area for the neighbourhood to visit and for picnics. We are hoping all the wildlife will return too.
