Take a wander through the nursery! ❄️

Our nursery is still full of beautiful plants, with fresh stock arriving every week. With the recent rain and cooler weather, conditions are ideal for helping new plants establish, and you may not need to water as often unless we have a dry spell.

Tomorrow marks the shortest day of the year, we’re on our way back to longer, brighter days!🥳 We’d love to see you in store for some winter gardening inspiration!

Winter has set in, but that doesn’t mean a long wait to enjoy some colour in the garden. Cold-season flowering plants such as Grevilleas, Correas, Camellias, Daphne and Ericas (and many more – ask our staff for suggestions) are sure to brighten the cold, dark days ahead.

The first photo shows Grevillea Lady O, a fantastic Australian native that can flower for up to 9 months of the year and provides a valuable food source for birds.

Our winter trading hours will commence from 8 June and run through to 31 July. ❄️

Monday to Saturday: 9:30am – 4:30pm
Sunday: 10am – 4pm

Please note we will be closed on King’s Birthday.

Winter is one of the best times to plant camellias, Daphne, hellebores, deciduous trees, fruit trees, hedging plants and many Australian natives. Cooler temperatures and seasonal rainfall help plants establish strong root systems before spring arrives.

We look forward to welcoming you to the nursery this winter.

Some new plants in our native garden bed today.

Mitchell planted three Banksia ‘Birthday Candles’. Let’s see how long they take to fill out the space.

Looking forward to watching them grow and hopefully become another iconic plant at the nursery, alongside our Boston Ivy, Staghorn Ferns and Queensland Bottle Trees.

It’s always nice to add something new and see how it develops over the years.

What’s going on in the nursery on a rainy slow day 🌧️🍂

The team worked hard in the rain today cleaning up all the fallen Boston Ivy leaves around the shop front.

Our Boston Ivy was planted around 10 years ago and every Autumn it turns the most beautiful red and orange colours before dropping its leaves.🍂

It’s always a bit sad when they fall, but in a few months it’ll all come back green again. 🍃
