So, with all of the rain of late... here is some advice!

Why is it a bad idea to mow in the rain? 🤔🌧

👉Satisfaction and attention to detail is what comes to my mind first.
If you don't want a messy job, don't mow in wet weather.
Tidiness and a satisfactory finished job is everything.

👉Mowing in the rain or in wet grass will put a heavy strain on equipment, causing it to overheat and sometimes burn out - more maintenance, more unnecessary expenses which could be avoided.

👉Mowers will clog up with wet grass not allowing the clippings to shoot through to the catcher properly or disperse evenly, making a horrible mess on the lawn with large clumps of wet grass sitting which is difficult to rake up entirely when wet. (Terrible mess)

👉Mowing on wet grass will also result in making deep tracks or making mud lines in the lawn - (not attractive)

👉Longer grass will tend to push over from being wet, leaving alot of growth behind still not cut. (Not a satisfactory cut at all)

👉Don't forget concrete driveways, paths and patios... when wet grass lands on concrete surfaces, it sticks and will not blow off easily.

So when its raining, wait until it has dried out before mowing to get the best results for not only your own satisfaction but the longevity of your equipment👌

Now with that in mind, have a wine and enjoy the wet weekend ahead :)
