Let's talk about scale, red and black and what you can do about it in the short term if you find it on your precious plants 🪴
No1 is soapy water ,cold or lukewarm, not hot we don't want to burn those plants. The soap suffocates the scale and makes them let go so you can wipe them off with ease with a cloth ,cotton tip or your finger nail.
No2 white oil ,now this one works the same way by suffocating the little sap suckers but you need to be careful the plant is placed in the shade for a day or 2 and then rinsed off before any sun touches it because the white oil will react with the sun and cause burn.
Be sure to check stems under leaves and leaf creases. They are sneaky .🌿
