It is a slow growing but very sturdy and tidy palm, shedding a leaf every few months only. Check out the trunk design. So cool. Really love this elegant palm.

What is one of the most hardy plants you could ever have in your garden? Look no further than Zamia furfuracea or cardboard plant as it is commonly known. The leaves actually do feel like cardboard!

A clumping plant to 1-1.5m tall and 2-3 m wide when fully grown. They love the sun and require little water.

A you can see from this specimen, they are pretty cool. :)

The new growth is a bronze/yellow colour and is very attractive.
I have seen it trimmed as a hedge and when the new growth emerges it is pretty spectacular!

What a display it can make! It produces a long flower stem with insignificant flowers and so many pups!
