Our HQ in The Workshop on Inveresk campus has a dedicated space for students to set up a desk for the semester and work in the presence of their colleagues. It’s occupied from to early to midnight every day. The students call it The Attic – and treat it as their home-office. We love that they make it their own.

UTAS students have won the SONA Superstudio, for the second year running.
Congratulations to Luke Pendergast, Jake Tripp and Zach Tregenza.

Jury citation: 'The 2025 Super Studio Tasmanian winner delivers an elaborate, eloque ously executed response to the highly abstract brief, demonstrating a sophisticated recognition of human behavioural patterns as related to 'A Pattern Language'. With wit and insight, the project humorously contrasts two evolving societal patterns in Sydney and Hobart, invoking a satire on local contexts. The jury commends the work's clarity of narrative, and its capacity to engage with the somewhat opposed intrinsic habits and aspirations of both communities, positioning it as a synthesis of theory, humour, tragedy and architectural imagination.'
