Last week, the boys went to Waves to renew their garden beds. They started by weeding the area, then spread out some mulch.

Mulching was an important part of this project because it provides a number of benefits that help a garden bed thrive. It helps regulate soil temperature, keeping the soil cooler in summer. It also suppresses weeds by blocking out sunlight, making it difficult for weeds to sprout. In addition, mulch improves soil health as it breaks down and adds organic matter, and it can help reduce plant disease by preventing soil from splashing onto plant leaves.
