What a day at The Glades Golf Course in Robina! 🏌️🍦

Friday was all about good fun and a great cause, with the whole event run by RedeMont. Big thanks to Charlie and Lisa for running our gazebo with me all day, and to Nathan and Mitch for getting out on the course.

IceCream Dreamery kept everyone cool with free ice cream, our raffle for a 55 inch TV donated by Hisense Air Conditioning Australia raised $3,000 for Queensland Gives, and our one handed ice cream golf challenge had everyone laughing (and a few walking away with Chillin merch).

So much good happens when great people come together for a good cause. Until next time!

Yesterday was International Burger Day, so we bought enough $1 Carl's Jr burgers to feed a small village and watched the State of Origin Game 1 highlights.

The burgers were great. The highlights were less great.

Yesterday we hosted Future Lady Tradies for a chat about getting more women into the industry. Our own lisa ketjen, who chairs the FLT board, facilitated the introduction between the team and Chillin to explore how we can recruit more women into the trades. The crew sat down with Rick and Mark to talk about where the industry is headed and why we need skilled tradies more than ever.

Future Lady Tradies founded by Taleah Henderson, Aleah Hill, and Kayla Hill is a not-for-profit charity focused on attracting, connecting and retaining female apprentices in the blue-collar sector. Founded by They shared their own journey, which hasn't been easy in such a male-dominated space, and walked us through the work they do assessing businesses to make sure they're genuinely female-friendly before placing apprentices with them. One thing they're particularly proud of is their kick-ass care packs for women in the trades, stocked with practical essentials like feminine hygiene products that make day-to-day life on the tools that much easier.

We were also joined by Les Wikiriwhi from Stand Up Recruitment , who came across from New Zealand. Stand Up is the Trans-Tasman bridge for Kiwis looking to make the move to Australia for work. What sets them apart is that they don't just engage with the tradie, they sit down with the whole family to make sure the move is the right fit for everyone involved before anyone packs a box.

It was a great morning of conversations, and we're keen to see where these connections take us.

It's been a busy week at Chillin, with the current boom in new home builds making it harder than ever to find skilled workers across the industry.

To help us stay ahead, we welcomed a few fantastic recruitment partners through our doors this week.

A big thanks to Amanda Priestley and Georgia Paulsen from eInstitute for stopping by, along with Nadia Pukallus and Chelsea Stagg from Add Staff, who were joined by Anusha Sathivail from Austworld.

Great conversations, great connections, and a reminder of how important strong industry partnerships are when it comes to finding the right people.

Proud to have attended the Ronald McDonald House Charity Day today, hosted by Next Cycle, Hot Water & Chilled Water Solutions and proudly presented by our good friends at KDL Property Group.

An incredible networking day bringing together so many great people and businesses for an even greater cause. Together, the event raised an outstanding $180,000 for Ronald McDonald House, helping support families who truly need it most.

It was great catching up with Kent Leicester from KDL, April Williams from RYSE Construction, Brett Morris from Gallery Group Homes, and Steve Ross, Terry and Matthew from Panasales, along with networking with many other valuable industry connections throughout the day.

To top it all off, Debrah won a charity auction and came home with a brand new bike. 🚲

A fun, fulfilling day all around for an amazing cause. Huge congratulations to everyone involved in making the event such a success.

Last weekend the Chillin team had a brilliant day out at the Doomben 10000 Race Day, joining Polyaire in the Eastern Terrace at Doomben Racecourse. Robert Hodge and Steve Morrison were there representing Chillin.

A big thanks to Darren Barnett and his wife Nicole, along with Gui from Polyaire, for having us along. The day kicked off with great weather, though rain the night before left the track wet and rated a Soft 7, which made picking winners genuinely tricky. We still managed a few good wins, and plenty of seconds and thirds across the group kept the cheers going all afternoon.

Corporate prizes were drawn on tables either side of ours, so no luck for us this time. The day was full of entertaining special guests sharing stories and race day tips, including Gordon Tallis, Andrew Johns, Glen Boss, David Campese and Shane Webcke. Add in food that never seemed to stop coming, a few drinks, roaming masseuses giving on the spot massages and great company, and it added up to a genuinely fantastic day.

Thanks again to Polyaire for a stellar day out.

What a weekend at The Bend Motorsport Park for Round 2 of GT4 Australia. The Bend threw everything at the field, heavy rain, drying tracks and conditions that kept everyone guessing, and the FRD Racing crew met it head on.

Cy Pearson showed real grit all weekend. After building strong momentum through qualifying in the wet, he made an exceptional start in Race 1 and brought the FRD Racing Porsche home P5 in class despite tricky wet to dry conditions. Sunday's Race 2 was the standout, with his best qualifying result yet and a launch that gained five positions off the line. He fought his way into podium contention and was running P2 in AM late in the race before contact from another car ended the run. Even with major damage, he kept pushing and crossed the line once again.

The results do not tell the full story here. The speed, composure and sheer determination on show were the real wins this weekend. Massive credit to the Method Motorsport crew now working hard to get the car ready again.

We are proud to be part of this journey and can't wait for the home round at Queensland Raceway in June. Bring it on.

A message from Mark, our Operations Team Manager:

“Our Rosies Beenleigh volunteer Branch Coordinators are lucky to work for a company, Chillin Air Conditioning Pty Ltd, that not only supports them at work, but also supports what they do outside of work!

At Chillin, their day-to-day involves keeping homes at a comfortable temperature. But this winter, Chillin was proud to help bring warmth where it’s needed most.

Thanks to the support of Rick & Deb (Chillin’s directors), Mark & Mel were able to coordinate the collection of 60 sleeping bags and other donations for Rosies during work hours. This is only half of the donation, with another 60 sleeping bags currently in storage ready to be given when needed!

As Chillin team members who also volunteer with Rosies, this partnership means a lot because community support doesn’t stop when the workday starts. ❤️”

If you have anything you would like to donate to Rosies, please contact Mark at [email protected] 🙂

Last week we were invited to the new Allegra Homes satellite office in Narangba for its official opening. It was great to catch up with Jess Callaghan and Robert Carroll and see some of the handy work our techs did for their Air-conditioning powered by Hisense Air Conditioning Australia.

Big thanks for the pizza and hospitality, we're proud to have worked on the office and know that Allegra will put it to great use.
