Apprentices - All levels (Year's 1/2/3/4)

AKP Plastering Pty Ltd is offering the position of an Apprentice Plasterer to join our team of skilled professionals with over 15 years experience.

You will receive on the job training and training with a Registered Training Organisation to become a qualified Plasterer with a Certificate 111 in Wall and Ceiling Lining. Along with mentorship and support from experienced professionals in residential, renovations and maintenance plastering.

Requirements:

Willingness to learn
Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Spatial awareness

Wanted - Apprentice Plasterer (all ages)

AKP Plastering Pty Ltd is offering the position of an Apprentice Plasterer to join our team of skilled professionals with over 15 years experience.

You will receive on-the-job training and training with a Registered Training Organisation to become a qualified Plasterer with a Certificate III in Wall and Ceiling Linings. Along with mentorship and support from experienced professionals in residential, renovations and maintenance plastering.

Duties to be learned:

Fix plasterboard wall and ceiling sheets

Mix plastering components

Fix wet area sheets

Finish plasterboard joins manually and mechanically

Construct and install bulkheads, plaster, cornice and decorative features

Installing fire and sound proofing systems.

Suspended ceiling systems

Apply basic levelling procedures

Read and interpret plans and specifications

Assist in the setup and cleanup of worksites

Communicate effectively with team members and clients

Requirements:

- Willingness to learn

- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

- Spatial awareness

- Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle (preferred but not essential)

- Prior experience in construction or plastering is an asset but not required as all training will be provided.

We are looking for a hard working, skilled plasterer with a keen eye for detail to join our team.
Must be skilled in -
Plan reading & communication with colleagues.
Preparing ,planning & installing metal framed suspended ceilings.
Preparing ,planning & installing metal framed bulkheads
Planning & ordering of materials required for a project.
Execute plasterboard layout, cutting of plasterboard & installing to walls & ceilings.
Cutting of finishing beads & installing to walls & ceilings.
Preparation & application of level 5 plaster finish.
Preparing, planning & installing ornate ceilings, cornices & plaster mouldings.
Mixing of gypsum based products.
Block & vacuum sanding of plaster to paint finish.
Pre Requisites
⦁ Current driver’s licence and reliable transport is preferable
0) Current CI Card (white Card)
⦁ At least 2 years experience within the industry.
