The bathroom at Casa Loma was designed to feel like a natural extension of the home’s overall aesthetic, creating a sense of cohesion and calm throughout.

To maintain continuity, we selected the same vanity and wall lights used elsewhere in the home, allowing each space to feel connected while still having its own identity.

A walnut-look floor tile introduces warmth and depth, complemented by handmade-style ceramic wall tiles that bring texture and character. The curved wall that wraps the left side of the room is finished entirely in microcement, eliminating grout lines and softening the space with its seamless, sculptural form.

A palette of natural materials, subtle texture and thoughtful detailing come together to create a bathroom that feels both refined and effortlessly inviting. Swipe through to see the renders and completed bathroom 🛁

📣The biggest interior design mistakes often happen long before construction begins.

Choosing finishes too early, overlooking lighting, following trends too closely, or not considering scale and functionality can lead to costly changes later on.

Great design isn’t just about creating a beautiful space - it’s about thoughtful planning, clear documentation, and making decisions that will stand the test of time.

A well-designed home should feel effortless, functional, and uniquely personal.

Swipe through for a few of the common mistakes we help our clients avoid throughout the design process ✨

From concept to completion - the Casa Loma ensuite.

What begins as a collection of materials and ideas slowly evolves into something tangible. Every finish, every tone, every detail considered not just in isolation, but in how it works together as a whole.

The early mood board sets the direction - layering texture, warmth and restraint. From there, the design is resolved through documentation and visualisation, allowing the space to be understood before it’s built.

Slides 7 & 8 - And finally, the completed ensuite where everything comes together exactly as intended.

Good design isn’t accidental. It’s deliberate, refined, and resolved long before construction begins.

Soft, serene, and intentionally understated - this bathroom was designed as a quiet retreat from the everyday.

Layered tones, gentle textures, and warm finishes come together to create a space that feels calm without trying too hard. A place to slow down, reset, and breathe.

The dining room at Casa Loma is defined by calm restraint and finely resolved detailing, where custom joinery becomes both function and architectural feature.

We specified who offered a bespoke composition combining Slab J Handle and Slab Natural Oak doors, finished in a rich Baltic stain. The result is a layered yet seamless joinery wall that balances warmth with precision.

The Slab J Handle, crafted in crown-cut American Oak, offers a sleek, integrated grip designed to disappear into the timber while maintaining everyday functionality. Paired with the Slab Natural Oak profile, the natural grain is left uninterrupted, allowing the timber’s character to lead the space in its most honest form.

This is complemented by a bronze glass splashback that subtly reflects light, soft warm LED strip lighting that brings depth to the joinery at night, and custom glasslite doors that frame the piece with a refined transparency.

The benchtop continues the material story from the kitchen, using for a consistent, enduring surface that anchors the entire composition.

A study in texture, tone and restraint - where every element works quietly together.

At Casa Loma, lighting became more than a functional element, it became part of the architecture itself.

A layered approach to illumination was carefully considered throughout the home, combining wall lighting, recessed LED strip lighting, pendants, stair tread lighting and subtle up/down lighting to create warmth, depth and atmosphere at every turn.

Integrated LED strips softly trace the curved architectural details and float beneath vanities, enhancing the home’s sculptural forms while adding a calm ambient glow. Decorative pendants bring moments of softness and intimacy, while stair tread lighting quietly guides movement through the spaces after dark.

The result is a home that feels entirely different as the sun sets - warm, serene and intentionally illuminated. ✨

Some spaces are meant to feel quietly timeless.

For the bathroom at Casa Loma, the original bath was something the owners felt strongly about keeping - and we couldn’t agree more. Rather than replace it, we refinished the existing piece and worked with the incredible team at to micro cement around the bath, creating a seamless, tonal finish that feels calm, grounded and spa-like.

Warm travertine tones and brushed brass tapware continue throughout the space, paying homage to the home’s original travertine tile while softening the palette with a more refined, contemporary approach.

Minimal, serene and intentionally understated, a space designed to slow you down.
