Just like that the 2024/2025 ‘lawn season’ has come to an end, mowing now reverts to 4-6 weekly visits.

Thank you to all my clients, both regular and adhoc, for your support and I look forward to seeing what the 2025/2026 ‘lawn season’ has in store for us.

A huge thank you to Sunshine Coast Mowers Caloundra for your support and saving my ‘bacon’ when my machines wanted a shorter season.

Update - Mowing

The recent consistent rain and overcast conditions has resulted in the ground surface being too soft to mow without causing damage to the lawn. Additionally, mowing when too much moisture is in the soil significantly increases the risk of fungal infection to your lawn. The health and condition of your lawn is of the utmost importance and will always come before profits.

I thank you for your patience and rest assured that lawns will be mowed as soon as ground conditions permit this to occur.

As a result of the predicted arrival of Tropical Cyclone Alfred this Thursday/Friday it will be almost impossible for any lawn services to occur.

🚨Invasive Pest Alert🚨

Clients, especially those in Capestone, have recently been experiencing a new invasive pest that is highly highly infectious and spreads rapidly especially with the increased winds we have at the moment. Papaya Mealybug was first discovered in 2024.

Papaya Mealybug (Paracoccus marginatus) is found in the underleaf of plants most commonly papaya, citrus trees, frangipani (including evergreens), hibiscus and I have recent noticed infestation on Desert Stars.

Signs of Papaya Mealybug are are a slimy/sticky white mass usually on the underside of leaves, leaf curling, leaf deformation and significant leaf drop.

If you notice Papaya Mealybug on your plants you must act immediately to prevent further damage and further spead to other plants. Immediate action should include:
🍃removal of affected leaves;
🍃removal of affected branches;
🍃spraying of white oil.
🍃complete plant removal.

Tip: watering the foliage of all plants including the underside of the leaves help, Mealybug hate water
