A concrete bench top can be formed into just about any shape or size, the only constraint is a minimum thickness of 70mm. As for finishes, you're only limited by your imagination. Different colours and washes - you can even include items in the mix that when polished will show through, such as coloured stones, glass bottles, shells, even cutlery or nuts and bolts.

Here I've cut an opening into an existing carport slat wall and used the cut slats to make a door. I then added a set of stairs with 8 treads and a heavy duty hand rail to provide access to the backyard.
