Magical idea…our family does this every Christmas
My daughter was producing…Matilda the musical in Wuhan China the year Covit broke out (although we weren’t told till late January)
She phoned us from Wuhan’s saying Dad can you put $8,000.00 Australian dollars in her account. She had followed our family tradition of helping the needy and as the 93 performing caste members were away from their families she hatched a plan.
All 93 caste members would dress up and learn and sing Christmas carols and wrap presents to hand out to children and sit down to a Chinese Christmas feast with the children from a local home entertainm them and hand out present as a Christmas treat.
She booked a venue about 35 children and minders came and were given a wonderful day.
Her caste were happy and occupied so they weren’t sad and not being able to go home to multiple countries across the world.
They packed up and left for there accomodation and she went to settle the bill…???
We then got a phone call??!?!
📞 I can’t leave the premises because I can’t pay the bill .I’m going to to be arrested.
She has checked with her south Australian headquarters who assured her there was enough in the company credit card she has ….wrong..she was $8,000.00short.
So quickly Mum & Dad came to the rescue and transferred to her …all was well she paid the bill and was allowed to leave ..very relieved.. sigh of relief for us all..
