Is your site ready for fire season, or are you just hoping for the best?
Yesterday our team was out doing fire mitigation work at Vigano wedding venue in South Morang, a heritage site. Older properties often have mature trees, dense plantings and years of dry material sitting close to the buildings, and that is exactly what feeds a fire.
Here is a check you can do today. Walk the site and look for dead leaf litter and dry grass against buildings, low branches hanging over roofs and gutters, and shrubs or hedges growing hard up against walls. Get those cleared and pruned back before the hot weather arrives, not during it.
Heritage grounds also need a careful hand. We clear and prune to reduce the risk while protecting the plants and character that make the place special.
