Some of the reactions to this completely blow my mind.🤯🤯

This isn’t billionaires versus battlers.
It’s everyday Australians attacking other everyday Australians for trying to build a better future for their kids.

Working hard, building a business, buying property, making sacrifices, and wanting to leave something behind for your children used to be considered responsible.

Now somehow that gets framed as greed.

When did Australians stop wanting other Australians to do well? 🤯

A lot of people think the goal of construction drawings is just to “get a permit.”

That’s only objective number one.

Objective number two and arguably the more important one is communicating the design clearly enough that real people can actually build it efficiently, accurately, and without confusion.

A good set of plans isn’t just technically compliant.
It’s readable.
It’s coordinated.
It anticipates questions before they happen.
It guides trades on site instead of creating chaos.

Anyone can throw dimensions on a page.
Not everyone thinks about how a builder, carpenter, concretor, plumber, or surveyor will actually interpret and use that information in the real world.

The difference between good plans and bad plans often shows up on site:
• delays
• RFIs
• mistakes
• variation costs
• frustration

Good documentation saves time, money, and headaches for everyone involved.

That’s the difference.

Everyone on here acting like AI just replaced architects overnight because it can generate a wonky SketchUp model from a prompt 😂

Don’t get me wrong the advancements are genuinely impressive, and tools like Claude connecting into design workflows are a huge glimpse into where the industry is heading.

But there’s a BIG difference between:
“Cool tech demo”
and
“Actually usable inside a real-world architectural practice.”

Right now, most of these tools still struggle with:
• accurate buildability
• planning compliance
• nuanced design thinking
• documentation workflows
• client changes
• coordination between consultants
• and producing anything remotely construction-ready

The internet loves to hype every AI release like the profession is over tomorrow.

Reality?
We’re still very much in the “interesting early tool” phase.

So yes… pay attention.
Yes… learn the tools.
But maybe everyone can collectively lower their heart rate a little 😂

Ocean Grove Dual Occupancy — Now in Planning ✍️

A carefully considered side-by-side development designed to balance functionality, light, and liveability.

Each residence has been thoughtfully crafted to feel like a standalone home, featuring:
– Double garage
– 4 bedrooms
– 3 bathrooms
– Two separate living zones
– Open-plan kitchen, meals & living with butler’s pantry
– Seamless indoor–outdoor entertaining
– Expansive backyards
– Internal courtyards designed to draw in natural light

The façade brings a soft modern edge with curved elements, warm timber detailing, and clean lines. creating a refined yet welcoming street presence.

Currently in planning, with construction anticipated late 2026.

A calm, light-filled home designed for effortless everyday living.
Soft textures, a timeless material palette, and a seamless connection to the outdoors create a space that feels both refined and relaxed.

From the sculptural living zones through to the navy and stone kitchen, every detail was considered to balance warmth with longevity, a home designed to look good now and age beautifully over time.

Proud to see this one come to life.

We’re one of the largest countries in the world… yet we’re stacking people on top of each other like sardines.

High-density done well can work.
High-density done like this is just bad planning.

We don’t have a land problem in Australia we have a planning problem.
