On Tuesday night, Palm Lake Resort Pelican Waters took out Development of the Year – Land Lease award at the 2026 Property Council of Australia National Retirement Living Awards. This is a project that reflects what later life communities now need to offer.

Designed by our studio for Palm Lake Resort, with interiors by Studio Collective | Brisbane Interior Design Firm, Pelican Waters was shaped around connection, vitality and longevity. The $50 million Springs Country Club sits at the centre of that thinking.

“Our focus is on designing communities that people actively want to join earlier, because they see how it supports a healthier, richer life,” said our Managing Director Frank Bambino.

We’re choosing fight this Big Freeze. Will you support us?

VIA and Studio Tate are taking part in this year’s DIY Big Freeze to support FightMND and beat the Beast that is motor neurone disease. We’re aiming to raise $10k and we need your help!

MND is a progressive neurological disease that gradually takes away a person’s ability to move, speak, eat, swallow and breathe, often within a devastatingly short timeframe.

Funds improve care for people living with MND and enables ongoing research into more effective treatments and the search for a cure.

Our teams will be taking the ice bucket challenge, taking a cold hit for a very worthy cause 🧊

RISING Festival 2026 is in full swing!

In the words of RISING Co-Artistic Director and CEO Hannah Fox, “we’re all born artists”; a fitting reflection of a festival that gives space to fearless and original voices from around the world. It was a pleasure to join last week’s launch event followed by some fun at The Vinyl Factory: Reverb, an interactive exhibition at Melbourne’s ACMI running from Fri 22 May – Mon 31 Aug 2026.

This marks VIA’s third year as a RISING partner, and we’re proud to support a festival that brings new art, performance and the city itself to life.

(Another) Awards Finalist Announcement // Palm Lake Resort Pelican Waters

Hollywood’s awards season may be over, but property awards season is yet to begin and the nominations are rolling in. VIA is proud to announce that Palm Lake Resort Pelican Waters has been selected as a finalist for Best Development - Land Lease at the ’s National Retirement Living Awards. The project is now also in the running for the People’s Choice Award for Best Retirement Community and WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT!
 
Within the over-50s resort, dinner on the teppanyaki terrace flows into casual conversations in the sunken lounges, while neighbours gather for billiards, a whisky tasting or a nightcap by the fire pits as the sun sets over the surrounding wetlands. It’s a place where connection unfolds organically, with architecture acting as a mechanism for fostering a full social life without script or expectation. The only question is, when can I move in?

We’re pleased to see approval granted for Arcare Wynn Vale. Bringing a new 138-bed supported accommodation facility to the area, the project reflects Arcare Aged Care’s continued growth in South Australia, and we’re proud to have helped guide the approval process alongside URPS.
 
Shaped specifically for its local setting and endorsed by the City of Tea Tree Gully Council’s Assessment Panel, it’s a strong result for both the project and Adelaide more broadly, helping meet the need for high-quality care environments for an ageing population.
 
We look forward to seeing the project progress from approval to delivery.

Palm Lake Resort Pelican Waters has been named a finalist in the ’s 2026 Industry Excellence Awards in the Development of the Year - Retirement, Aged Care and Seniors Living category.

Designed by VIA for .lake.resort, with interiors by , the project represents a new level of ambition for land lease communities. It demonstrates the impact of lifestyle-led masterplanning in shaping how later life communities are imagined, designed and experienced.

The project reflects VIA’s long-standing partnership with and a shared ambition to keep refining the resident experience from one project to the next.

We did it 🏃‍♂️

On Sunday, we gathered alongside our friends at to Run for the Kids. The VIA team brought along their families and joined 30,000 other Melburnians in support of the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal.

The sun was out for the 4.7km course we completed together, supporting this meaningful cause. We’re more than halfway towards reaching our $5k goal, and there's still time to help us make a difference!
