If you use drawer organisers to divide the different items into categorizes, it will be much easier to find what you need when you need it.
Some items may belong elsewhere in the house, and some may be things you just don't need anymore.

MIXED TOYS! Does anyone else have a tub or toy box just like this? You're not alone, I see it all the time. It's quick and easy to pack up this way, but it can also be a easy way to make a mess everywhere...as soon as the kids DUMP IT!
- Tip 1 Buy clear lidded containers and put like items in the container (lego, Tools, Trains etc...) and label
- Tip 2 If you notice a toy is always being dumped and not packed up, put it up high and bring it down as a special toy to play once toys are packed up. (like Lego or Puzzles)

Here are some doll blankets I have kept from my childhood. One my mom made for me.
If you cherish something enough to keep it...have a safe place for it, somewhere you know where it is, but it is out of the way. Not taking up space for things you use today.
I'll pull it out if I'm ever lucky enough to have grandchildren, and then they can use them :-)

If you go to put something on and it doesn't fit right, you could give it a second chance and place it in a second chance spot or give it straight to charity. Only the clothes you love and wear, deserve a spot in your wardrobe.

Keeping up with the laundry is one part in maintaining an organised home. If you have clothes on the floor or draped over furniture, pick them up sorting the clean ones to folding/hanging basket, and the dirty ones to the laundry basket. If you struggle to have a place to put your clothes then it is time to re-organise your wardrobe/closet/chest of drawers/dressers etc...

It is possible to maintain an organised linen cupboard. Fold neatly and in a way that will fit in your cupboard, make sure all or almost all (some in wash ;-)) will actually fit in the cupboard. If your linen cupboard gets difficult for you to put away your towels or sheets and sometimes you can't find what you need... empty it all into a laundry baskets, and refold at a table. Get rid of ones you don't use and ones that are old. Refold the rest, and place neatly again into your linen cupboard. - Neat folding...being able to see what you have and get it when you need it :-)

Do you have a room that you put everything you don't have time to put away just now. Maybe company is coming over and you just need to clear up the main living areas?
This can become overwhelming for some, not knowing where to start or how it will possibly fit in your home.
Start by picking up something...decide where it goes. And repeat...
Group like items together, and donate what you don't need.

If you find your kitchen pantry is getting a little full...

- can't find what you need when you need it
- your buying things more than once, because you thought you didn't have it
- maybe other family members are just putting things away in the wrong spot

Then it is time to pull out EVERYTHING! And put it all back again...
This time
- throw out all expired
- put like with like (eg. breakfast items together)
- use containers for some items to help keep them fresh and you can stack them too
