: On Site :: CLT house Castlemaine

We’re thrilled to see the rapid progress of this CLT home, designed in collaboration with The Built Collective and supplied by .

With screw pile footings, the CLT structure, windows and doors were all installed in under a week! The team is now moving on to battening out the external skin for insulation, running wiring and installing flashings. Joinery and lighting setout also underway.

:: Winner winner! :: St Carlo Borromeo Primary School

Winner for the 2024 – Small Projects award

From the judges: ““St Carlo Borromeo School modernization by MUSK Studios holds true to the saying ‘small but mighty’. This project shows how a big impact can be achieved through a collection of clever moves despite a constrained context. The solution integrated volumetric spaces, tactile surface textures, acoustic separation, impactful lighting, and pops of colour to which anything other than its current state would be unimaginable to its users.

This project stays true to the philosophy of ensuring each child’s learning environment is welcoming, safe and inviting - incubating student creativity and its manifestation. It must be such a joy creating and showcasing each creation in the space that encouraged and harnessed its growth. The success of this design fulfills multiple user groups requirements aesthetically and functionally”.

Our Hennessy Street Townhouses are nearing completion.

It’s exciting to finally see the concept in built form and the range of beautiful building materials in context.

:: Completed :: Badger Creek Primary School

Badger Creek Primary School is complete! We are extremely happy to announce that the new school building and extensive landscaping works are open to staff, students and the school community. Collaboration with the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung Cultural Heritage Aboriginal Corporation was an integral part of the design process, with a strong connection to country and community driving the design, facilitating a strong connection to the external landscaping works for both students and teachers. Native planting selections will grow and create opportunities for children to explore, interwoven snaking footpaths are embellished with echidna, wombat and kangaroo tracks, carved timber wombat and echidna seating complement the outdoor classroom spaces and a dry creek bed weaves its way through the central courtyard.

St Clare’s Primary School Harmony Building is now complete! We are pleased to announce that the refurbished Harmony building is now open to staff, students and the school community providing a clear identity to all visitors.

Key design drivers were the creation of clear wayfinding points for visitors to the school, while balancing adaptive reuse with minimal intervention to create maximum impact and functionality for a building which was previously underutilised.

Very excited to share this recently completed project, which has been shortlisted as a finalist for this year's Architeam Awards!

Echidna Studio is a new ancillary extension to a family home in Middle Park. The brief involved converting a tired old garage into an independent studio, with a home office, day bed, sleeping area, and small bathroom. The two buildings are tied together with paved stepping stones, a curated selection of plants, and an abundance of ground cover.

Check out the progress at our Hennessy Street townhouses in Brunswick! After much coordination these beautiful windows were craned in last week and now finally reveal our design intent. 🪟🏡

Let's take a moment to appreciate the craftsmanship and dedication that went into bringing these to life. They seamlessly blend aesthetics and practicality, allowing natural light to illuminate the interiors while providing views to Royal Park and the city. ☀️ 🌃
