The Design Files Open House – a pop-up like any other? Well almost – for 4 days only a residential home, in Hawthorne was transformed into an engaging and interactive retail extravaganza! A Stylised Australian Home was displayed with everything available for sale, from furniture to bedlinen, artwork, books, kitchenware and lighting!
It was a gorgeous example of interior design styling beautifully curated. The various layers of furniture, fittings, artworks, soft furnishings, colours, light and layout were so rich and deep I walked through the house 3 times and saw new things each time!
The Open House featured furniture, vessels and beautiful bits & pieces by Jardan, Bonnie and Neil, The Forty Nine Studio, Dinosaur Designs and Marz Designs.
Homewares, linen and uniforms were provided by Country Road. There were beautiful rugs by Loom, artworks by Kirra Jamison, Sally Ross, vintage poster from Galerie Montmartre, Rachel Castle, Beci Orpin, Dion Horstmans, Kirra Jamison, Rachel Castle, Miranda Skoczek and Esther Stewartto. ‘Colours of Open House’ was featured by Dulux – a selection of four Dulux paint colours created in collaboration with The Design Files especially for the event, and a new Mini Paceman in the garage!
Oh, and not forgetting Violet, our fluffy friend from Dulux and the sensational coffee!
