Behind the scenes of the construction of this custom architectural concrete bench.

Built to last, the foundation works included over a cubic metre of concrete along with a solid core-filled block wall to create the structural base. The rear was rendered for a seamless finish, while an off-white concrete mix was selected to achieve a clean, refined look that complements the surrounding landscape.

A lot goes into the details before the finished product is ever seen.

Ligularia reniformis in full flight. It was great to come back and see a well maintained garden looking so lush. In particular, this Liguria, a.k.a. tractor seat, really thriving. This variety can grow quite large, but with a simple trim to keep it uniform, it continues to hold a strong architectural look within the garden.
