One question we get asked a lot is: “How secure are uPVC windows and doors?”

The answer comes down to a few key features 👇

Most of our uPVC windows and doors include a multi-point locking system, with locking points positioned around the frame for added strength and security. This means the window or door is locked and sealed at multiple points, making it extremely difficult to force open from the outside.

For even greater protection, we also recommend safety glass that complies with AS 1288-2006 – Glass in Buildings.

Safety glazing is classified as either Grade A or Grade B:

• Standard float glass is not considered safety glass.
• Toughened glass and toughened laminated glass are classified as Grade A Safety Glass.
• Laminated glass and heat-strengthened laminated glass are also classified as Grade A Safety Glass.

Security shouldn’t mean compromising on comfort, style, or energy efficiency.
