Why seal my perimeter?
External perimeter sealing is a great preventative measure against water ingress, bugs, and weather damage, which can contribute to erosion and structural damage over extended periods.
What product do you use?
For external perimeters, we use a combination of polyurethane, and polymer sealants. Siliconized acrylics and sanitary grade silicone, such as those used internally, aren’t recommended for externals as they are more likely to deteriorate in the harsh Australian climate.
What colour do you use?
We expertly match the colour of our product to each individual external to ensure you have a seamless transition between your house and concrete. Our external sealants are also paintable, if you ever want to change your concrete colour in the future!
When should I seal my perimeter?
We recommend waiting 4-6 months after pouring fresh concrete, to allow the slab to settle, preventing separation from the sealant.
On some new builds in Victoria, builders may require you to have your external perimeter sealed prior to this timeframe, for contract purposes.
If you have any more questions or enquiries on sealing your house perimeter, reach out to us, and we will be happy to assist you.
*Guide based on a 40 lineal meter perimeter with a standard 10mm gap. Service is charged per lineal meter and can vary based on meterage, gap size, and product selection.
If booking additional services, 10% discount will be applied to the external perimeter portion of the job only.
