Welcome to paradise! Join us on our beautiful property situated in the picturesque Atherton Tablelands, inland from Cairns.
Wandana Waters is a Rainforest Revegetation Nursery and Cattle Stud Farm. Our property is on the banks of the Beatrice river, featuring lovely private swimming and picnic spots. Wildlife includes platypus, tree kangaroos, possums, bandicoots, birds and butterflies. Our location offers so much to see and do in your downtime, including the local waterfalls and walking tracks.
We are parents to two adult children who have flown the nest, so it is just us, Tracey and Bruce, and our new puppy, Teddy (as well as plenty of chickens and cows!).
We are looking for 1 or 2 energetic people to assist in all facets of tree nursery work, such as propagation, potting up, weeding etc. Other work will include farming chores as required such as fencing, cattle work, general maintenance and gardening and vegetable gardening.
If you enjoy working outside and are prepared to get a bit wet (it rains a lot in the tropical rainforest!), then we would love to welcome you to our farm!
In exchange for your work, we offer accommodation and meals. We have a comfortable bedroom with Queen size bed and bunk beds for your sole use. The bathroom is the main bathroom in the house; however, you will mostly have sole use of this as well.
