We feel your pain old mate…
Weeds are taking over.
Where the hell did that invasive vine strangling the fence even come from? SURE it wasn’t there yesterday.
Some of the garden’s growing so fast it’s turning into an impenetrable fortress. Multiple secateurs and handsaws trapped inside somewhere.
Forever.
Nature wins that battle.
Yet other parts still look like barren toxic wastelands?!
Oh, and here’s the blessed Torresian pigeons back for their daily feast. Spreading millions of palm seeds, just where they’re least wanted.
Surely the only seedlings to survive nuclear apocalypse. Lucky you have matted acres of them through every garden bed.
At least a soft spot to rest the head, as you try to escape the fallout.
Deck re-welded and carby cleaned – yet again – but now you just can’t seem to ever get off the damn ride-on. In the blazing heat and humidity.
By the time you’ve finished another carefully planned and deliciously manicured mowing routine (remember circular edges, criss-cross internal) the extremities have already grown back.
To add insult to injury it’s like you’re living in a fish bowl.
Neighbours catching a brief and horrifying glimpse through the back fence, aghast at how you’ve let yourself go.
As you just try to finish the bloody mowing in peace.
