Thought this is a good one to re-share
I just thought I would show you some of my meal planning ideas. So a visit to the local chicken shop this morning to get what I need for 4 days of meals for 3 adults and one child. All up $56, which equates to $3.50 for the meat portion, per meal. Pretty good value I think. ( It may not look like enough for that many, but I bulk things up with veg, rice or pasta.
2 large Chicken Snitz-
I can use this for Parmigiana or just Snitz with Marsala mushroom sauce or plain gravy. Served with veg or chips and salad. Or I have done Snitz Sliders using the mini Brioche buns from Aldi. Lots of options.
3 Chicken Kievs, again serve with rice & veg or chips & salad. I cook these first in the frying pan, then finish them off in the air fryer. Our youngest daughter will just have a small bit cut of mine and her sisters.
Chicken breast fillets-
Options are endless. I have only brought 2 but it will feed us all as I bulk it up with veggies. I might do chicken satay or apricot chicken, or even a chicken pesto sauce for pasta, again lots of options.
And lastly, I thought I would try the pre-prepared Stroganoff, all ingredients are gluten free and all I will add is some extra veg and a dollop of cream or sour cream. This can be served with rice, pasta, mashed potato or cauliflower rice.
If we dont want to have this much chicken in a week I can freeze any of it for the next week and add a few meat free meals or beef throughout the week.
I hope this has given you a few ideas π
