Hello Gardeners! 🌱✨

As many of you may know, Grinter Garden regularly and proudly hosts a wide range of community initiatives and groups on a weekly basis ✨🗓️ This Friday, a new group - Maths in the Garden 🌱 (for Home-Ed families!) - will be joining ranks! 🌿🌳

Maths in the Garden 🌱 is a maths group specifically designed for supporting Home-Educating families (both parents and children) who would like to connect with others for the purposes of exploring/learning maths together in a casual outdoor setting. The group already has several families attending, and is pleased to be transitioning to a new location - Grinter Garden! 🌿

If you would like to know more about Maths in the Garden - including costs/meeting times - please get in touch with Mel Sherbert directly via DM ✨ As a qualified teacher and Home-Ed alumni, Mel offers a unique maths opportunity for Home-Ed families who are interested in alternative maths education.

We are saddened to share the news that Mark Hoffman, a valued member of Grinter garden, has passed away.

Mark was always keen to pitch in at a working bee and loved to share his vast gardening knowledge with us all. Vale Mark.

Are thoughts are with his family at this time.

Join Luke and Malcolm on Tuesday from 1–3pm as we tend to the garden and grow fresh produce to share with our community.

No gardening experience needed — just a willingness to get your hands dirty, have a chat, and help something wonderful grow.

Running a community garden requires the help and support of community members at all levels.

Here at Grinter we grow a significant amount of produce for local food relief programs, we teach a briad range of gardening skills and we love to share.

We have some Member plots, and we have lots of shared spaces - like our Orchard. We support a number of Disability providers and individuals within our community too.

The decisions are made by a committed group of volunteers who meet bi-monthly and we welcome new Members. With our AGM coming up soon, we would like to take the opportunity to welcome new members to the committee of management - are you, or someone you know, interested in helping us keep this amazing garden growing??

It was a beautiful day in the garden, home made pumpkin soup on the menu for lunch and lots of conversation 🌱
Topped up the wicking beds, planted some herbs in the community spaces and made plans 🌱
We have a couple of projects coming up that we would welcome some help with.
