On behalf of everyone at Dobsons, we are extremely grateful to be in a position to assist with the repair and reassembly of the St Helen’s Cenotaph.

Over the past 80 years, we have been fortunate to undertake numerous projects for the RSL, and we felt there was no more meaningful way to express our thanks than to step in when support was needed and contribute to such an important community landmark.

We sincerely thank everyone who has called, sent messages, or emailed their support—it has been greatly appreciated.

The St Helens Cenotaph has now been repaired and restored.

Our sincere thanks to Dobsons Granite and Marble, who generously completed the repairs at no cost, ensuring this important memorial stands with the dignity it deserves.

Thank you also to Guy Barnett , Michael Ferguson and Mayor Mick Tucker Break O'Day Council for their support.

This Cenotaph is a symbol of service, sacrifice and remembrance. It once again stands as it should.

🎉 Merry Christmas from Dobson’s who are celebrating 80 years in business this Christmas! 🎉

What began in 1945 with Herbert “Mick” Dobson has grown into an 80-year, family-run Tasmanian legacy. Today the business is proudly led by third-generation Andrew Dobson and fourth generation, Shaun Dobson.

Over the years as the industry changed, we stayed focused on what matters most — quality workmanship and strong relationships with our customers. While our skills remain rooted in tradition, our services have expanded, supported by modern technology and a talented team.

Over the past two years, engineered products and their applications have evolved significantly. Our suppliers have done an outstanding job developing zero silica products that are safe to work with while maintaining top-tier quality.

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years. We look forward to continuing to serve the Tasmanian community for generations to come.

With some big developments this year with the banning of engineered stone across the country, we wish to remind our customers of the other fantastic natural products we’ve been consistently working with for over 40 years in kitchens and some exciting upcoming products our suppliers are working on.

Granite, marble, porcelain & terrazzo make up a huge portion of the products we use. They look amazing and provide a durable hard wearing surface.

As per our previous post, our suppliers are releasing silica-free product’s in the near future. Keep an eye on our pages for further updates in 2024 👏🏼

Our Monumental Works are always created with natural stone products.
We have a large range of monumental options in a variety of Marble & Granite colours.

Our client wanted to utilise their space to ensure maximum storage with a modern minimalist design.

Using Thermolaminated doors and complimenting the darker base cabinetry with lighter overheads. The look is brought together through the continuous stone benchtop and splashback which offers a subtle, yet modern consistency for this space.
